I don't have a lot of time to write, but here is a quick thought:  Remember to "watch and pray CONTINUALLY that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bare". Saya harup kamu semua ada hari yang bagus!! (Have a good day!!)

Selamat tinggal, (Goodbye)
Sister Hamner

*Rachel, her companion, and some other missionaries had to go back to Singapore for a couple of days for their 90 Visa renewals.  While there, they had zone conference with Pres. and Sis. Woo, and the sister missionaries stayed with some of the sisters serving in Singapore. Rachel was able to see and spend time with her MTC companion, Sis. Gordhammer, whom she hasn't seen since they arrived in September.  She was super excited about that (even though she forgot to take a picture with her). :)

The Magic of Missionary Work

January 20, 2020
Sorry this is so short!  Just a couple of reminders for the week:  1 - Never hesitate to smile at someone and never hesitate to talk about The Book of Mormon in a conversation.  2 - Everyone can benefit from love and kindness.  3 - The Spirit will help those you share The Book of Mormon with to feel of your love for the book.  Keep being awesome out there!

Selamat Tingal (goodbye),
Sister Hamner

P.S. - Sorry...not a whole lot of pictures this week.

Just Another Day In Good Ol' PJ

Jan. 13, 2020

Yep, nothing much to report! Except I'm staying right here in PJ this transfer with the best branch and companion and district and zone around! They're awesome. Plus, that means six more weeks of underground cheese naan. *fist pump*

Yesterday, I was reading a talk about The Book of Mormon, and it got me so excited about it, so I started looking through the new Come, Follow Me study book in the church's program for 2020 (it's focused on The Book of Mormon this year). There are paintings of the stories you read from the weekly assigned chapters, and they are so neat!! About 90% of them I've never seen before, and they are really awesome depictions of the people and their stories. I remembered all of the lessons I'd learned from them and felt so much renewed love for that book. Joseph Smith said, "The Book of Mormon is the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book." I know it's true. Try reading it! I promise you will come to know of its truth also.

Lots of love dari (from) Malaysia!

Happy New Year, 2020!!

Happy New Year from Sis. Rachel Hamner!                                                 Jan. 6, 2020
Sis. Hamner and Sis. Nelson have been teaching a new friend of theirs, Lily Sim, from East Malaysia.  She just moved into the PJ area and was taking discussions from the Elders in East Malaysia. Rachel and her companion, along with help from their wonderful PJ Branch, are finishing up Lily's last discussions and hope to be a part of her baptism the middle of this month.
Sis. Hamner keeps busy and tries to write a group email when she can.  She is very good at sending pics every week, though, so enjoy!  She sends her love to everyone and a Happy New Year!
