This week's pictures from Sis. Hamner. She and Sis. Nelson enjoyed celebrating the upcoming birth of one of their branch members. She tried the fruit Durian for the first time and said it was okay...definitely better than she expected. They made it home in a rainstorm just before it turned into a downpour.
Here is a recent post Rachel put out on Facebook a few days ago. I thought I'd include it in today's post:
"If there is one thing I have become absolutely sure about so far on my mission, it is the power of a simple, heartfelt prayer. Joseph Smith uttered a simple prayer, and God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Him. They answered Him, calling Him by name, and they answered with love. That is a testament to me of the reality of a Father in Heaven who loves and wants to answer His children. In experiencing different circumstances throughout my life - confusion, disappointment, doubt, disheartenment - I've prayed to my Father in Heaven, pleading for His guidance and love, and I have, without a doubt, received it. So, my dear friends and family, whatever may be weighing on your mind and in your heart, questions or thoughts, troubles or fears, I promise that you can receive help with prayer, and feel joy! Heavenly Father is there, and He answers each and every child's prayer. Seek Him on your knees, and He will not leave you alone."
