Merry Christmas, kawan-kawan (guys)!!
Sorry about my lack of emailing the past few weeks, but this week has been GILA (CRAZY), so lemme tell ya about it...
On Friday, I had a BABY! Sort of...I got a new companion!! Sister Nelson (no relation to the prophet) is AWESOME. She is from Syracuse, Utah, loves marvel (we'll get along just fine), is a butterfly swimmer, and is already an amazing missionary. She has been killing it so far in PJ, they don't even know what's coming.
This past Saturday, the KL district had a Christmas pageant called Journey to Bethlehem. During the last part, they led us into a half-lit room full of nativities from all around the world. Someone was playing Silent Night really beautifully on the piano while we all walked around and looked at each nativity set. In that moment, I felt so much peace. Everything this week has felt pretty hectic, but in that room, I felt my Savior's love for me and for all of God's children. It was like life was put on pause for a second and really focused on the meaning of the Christmas season. Christ came here because of His love for us, and that is what we are celebrating this season. His perfect love and the joy we feel from it. How simple and beautiful is that!
I hope you all take the time to stop and remember Christ this season. Keep lighting the world in any way that you can, and spread JOY.
